In my favorite book, a young artist is asked, "Where do you get your copies?" from which she did her drawings. She replies, "Out of my head. I imagine Things I am powerless to execute," to which the response is, "You secured the shadow of your thoughts..."

There is so much in this brief exchange. The dialogue captures the essence of what I believe art to be. What is art, life even, but to try and create the beauty we imagine? In my artwork, I strive to evoke both the beauty I see in my imaginings and of the world around me.
