Christmas Parade

Parade Information

• Parade float staging begins at 4:30 p.m. and we ask that all floats arrive no later than 5:40 p.m. (The earlier the better!). Floats will be lined up on a first-come basis.
• Staging area will be at the fairgrounds parking lot. There will be ample lighting for safety and to allow for any prep work.
• Per the City of Garden City parade ordinance, throwing candy or other objects from a parade float is prohibited. Floats in violation will be pulled from the parade. You may have people walking that hand candy out.
• This is a night time parade so the more lights on your vehicles and floats the easier your props and decorations are to see, and the more festive it is. We also recommend putting a sign with lights on your vehicle to identify which company or group you are with.
• Each organization is responsible for clean-up of all live animals involved with their float. You must notify us at the time the application is filled out if you plan to have live animals. Clean-up fines may be assessed by the City of Garden City for non-compliance.
• Inclement weather cancellations will be made on Sunday, December 7th by noon.
