Revolutionizing Wellness in Southwest Kansas: Gravity Wellness Spa

Kristi Schmitt is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in military service. She is the owner and founder behind Gravity Wellness Spa. Initially established as Gravity Wellness Center LLC, the business now operates under the name Gravity Wellness Spa. This is a decision made to better communicate its dual role as both a medical and day spa. With three thriving locations, Gravity Wellness Spa offers a range of services aimed at rejuvenating the body and mind. Including skin treatments, body contouring, and hormone replacement therapy.

Beyond Relaxation: The Medical and Cosmetic Services at Gravity Wellness Spa

Gravity Wellness Spa’s offerings go beyond typical spa services. The medical spa aspect focuses on skin rejuvenation, facial discoloration, acne treatment, body contouring, and procedures like Botox and fillers, which help restore collagen in the face. Recognizing the connection between physical appearance and overall health. Schmidt expanded the spa’s services to include hormone replacement therapy, addressing the deeper causes of aging and wellness concerns.

Schmidt’s journey with Gravity Wellness Spa began with a vision to create a healing space, particularly for veterans and those struggling with trauma. After discovering a building that captured her heart, she approached the owner. Seizing the opportunity, Schmidt purchased the building and transformed it into a sanctuary for wellness. The center now offers a range of services, including float therapy and IV therapy. Both services are designed to help clients reset and restore their health.

The Evolution of Gravity Wellness Spa

From humble beginnings with just three employees, including Sonia Saucedo and Tanya Rivero. Gravity Wellness Spa has grown into a bustling business with a staff of 31. Staff comprise of part-time and full-time professionals. Including massage therapists, nail technicians, cosmetologists, licensed estheticians, registered nurses, and Schmidt herself. Schmidt’s background in health and military service informs her holistic approach, focusing on both mental and physical health.

A Military Background and Holistic Care: Schmidt’s Dual Commitment to Health and Service

Schmidt’s military service began at the age of 46, when she attended officer basic training at Fort Sam Houston, completing rigorous medical training designed for doctors and nurse practitioners. Her service primarily involved humanitarian efforts within the state. She helped soldiers prepare for deployment and worked with military personnel in Garden City and Western Kansas.

Schmidt’s Contributions Beyond Gravity Wellness Spa

In addition to her work at Gravity Wellness Spa, Schmidt has made significant contributions to the community. She played a pivotal role in starting the Western Child Advocacy Center in 2009, where she began with a mobile unit providing services to the western half of Kansas. As a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Schmidt conducts exams and provides support to women who have experienced abuse. Helping them regain their self-confidence.

Gravity Wellness Spa reflects Schmidt’s deep commitment to the community. The spa has been designed to cater to a wide demographic. Everyone from young children celebrating birthdays to elderly veterans seeking relaxation and healing. Schmidt was heavily involved in the design and renovation of the spa, choosing local materials and working closely with local businesses to bring her vision to life.

Transformative Services: Addressing Wellness Concerns with Comprehensive Spa Offerings

The spa’s services are not just about relaxation; they are about transformation. Clients come to Gravity Wellness Spa to address a variety of concerns, from skin imperfections and hormone imbalances to stress and mental health issues. The spa’s comprehensive menu of services includes everything from laser hair removal and skin tightening to float therapy and massages. Despite the high level of service, Schmidt has made it a priority to keep prices accessible, ensuring that the benefits of Gravity Wellness Spa are available to the wider community.

Looking ahead, Schmidt has big plans for Gravity Wellness Spa. While the current space is fully utilized, she envisions expanding to include additional rooms and services. Such as a sunroom for pedicures. Although opening new locations has not alleviated the demand at the Garden City location, Schmidt remains committed to providing high-quality services to clients across Southwest Kansas.
